Why we do it
οὐ γὰρ δοκεῖν ἄριστος ἀλλ’ εἶναι θέλει
He does not wish to seem, but to be excellent.

TKE BETA-PI CHAPTER MISSION AND VISION
The Beta-Pi Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity is an organization of students and alumni of the Georgia Institute of Technology who have organized to:
- support and complement the academic mission of the Institute,
- develop our members’ personal and social skills in accord with the principles of the Fraternity,
- foster a network of lifelong friends and colleagues, and
- be an important positive influence on our campus and our community.
We accomplish this purpose by:
- helping our members remain on academic good standing with the Institute,
- living and dining together in our chapter house until we graduate,
- participating in the maintenance of our chapter house and in the preparation of our meals,
- providing personal and social development experiences for our members,
- competing to win sports and campus events,
- engaging in co-curricular activities that support the mission of the Institute such as work-study and study abroad,
- promoting interaction among undergraduate and alumni members,
- being involved in other campus organizations and
- engaging in high-impact community service and philanthropy.
We expect each member to support this mission. We enforce individual conduct standards to that end.
