There are many opportunities for contributing to the welfare and success of the next generation of Tekes by sharing your skills and knowledge with the undergrads. No matter how much or how little time you have to give, there is a gratifying use for your attention.

Educational Presentations and Workshops

We ask that you have prepared a coherent presentation at a level appropriate for bright college undergraduates and that you can deliver it in a professional manner either at the Chapter House or in the "Chip" Roberts Alumni/Faculty House on North Avenue.

The undergrads have expressed an interest in getting some information on the following topics:

• Basic financial management including how credit and credit cards work
• Getting started in real estate
• What to look for in an apartment and how to negotiate the rent
• Resume workshop (may be useful to have different workshops for engineering, management, CS/IT, etc.)
• Preparing for an interview, business networking and etiquette
• Preparing for graduate study - law, medical, business, engineering, etc.

As well, the Board seeks volunteers with relevant experience to deliver workshops on:

• Time management
• Study skills
• Change management
• Ethical decision-making
