TKE Summer and Fall Rush 2014

TKE has always had a very influential presence in the Georgia Tech community. Our GT Chapter has produced leaders such as:

  • Rocky Reeves and Mike Nicholson — Founders, Mellow Mushroom.
  • Daniel Webster — Congressman (R), FL
  • Wick Moorman — CEO, Norfolk Southern.
  • Russell Heil — Fmr. Senior VP, Delta Air Lines

Nationally, Tau Kappa Epsilon’s esteemed alumni include:

  • President Ronald Reagan
  • Georgia Congressman Bob Barr
  • Former Governor Mike Huckabee
  • Malcom Forbes — editor-in-chief of Forbes Magazine
  • Conrad Hilton — Founder, Hilton Hotels
  • Danny Thomas — Founder, St. Jude’s Research Hospital
  • Musicians Willy Nelson, Les Paul, and Elvis Presley
  • ESPN Basketball Analyst Digger Phelps.
  • Super Bowl Champion QBs Terry Bradshaw and Phil Simms
  • Championship Boxer Roy Jones Jr.
  • Dewayne Jessie — Otis Day and the Knights

and many more.

We take pride in being one of the most well reknowned and competitive fraternities on Georgia Tech’s campus.  TKE has won Greek Tug-o-War 16 times in the last 19 years, and has placed either 1st or 2nd in Greek Sing the last 4 years.  We actively participate in all Homecoming and Greek Week events, and strive to be the best.  In intramural athletics, we are reigning champions in Kickball, and runners-up for Wiffle Ball, and softball.

Socially, we try to have a large imprint on campus and in our community.  We consider our social calendar the best on campus, with a variety of events such as mixers, date nights, band parties, and other social functions.  Philanthropically, we raised over $15,000 dollars during the 2013-2014 school year for various philanthropies such as St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.  We encourage all brothers to have at least 15 hours of community service a semester, and actively search for ways to help out around the Metro Atlanta Area.

Furthermore, we consider ourselves one of the most diverse fraternities on campus.  We believe that being in a fraternity is more than a social group; a fraternity is about friendship, developing leadership skills, bettering ourselves socially, academically, athletically, and philanthropically, while having tons of fun in the process.

We hope all of you can make it to the rush events we have planned for this Summer and for next Fall. Please feel free to contact our Rush Chairs Matthew Wysocki and Phil Kluever if you have any questions.
