Mitchell Weatherly becomes Administrative Patent Judge

Frater Mitch Weatherly (Beta Pi 770) recently joined the Patent Trial and Appeal Board at the US Patent and Trademark Office as an Administrative Patent Judge. At the Board, Mitch decides appeals filed by patent applicants who believe that their patent application has been wrongly rejected by a patent examiner.

Mitchell received the JD from the University of California-Davis in 1994.

Since 2010, he had been managing partner at Weatherly Seigel LLC, the Atlanta-based firm he co-founded in 2001.

He still lives (on weekends at least) in Atlanta with his wife Susie and their three boys, Andrew, Grayson, and Aidan.
